alexandra kurt, born in 1997, studied at the film school "bts - cinéma et audiovisuel" in luxembourg after her graduation from secondary school.

during her studies, she worked on various projects such as 1st ad, shot her own short films, and wrote film reviews.

since 2019, she has been studying feature film directing at the university of television and film munich. for her work as a director and screenwriter, she received the "deutscher jugendfilmpreis" and the european media award "prix europa" for best new talent.

her short films have been screened at a variety of national and international festivals, including the "44. filmfestival max ophüls preis". in 2022, her film “august und die hasenohren” was nominated at pöff in tallinn, estonia. in 2024, she was honored to be nominated for the ard degeto impuls preis.

since 2025, alexandra has discovered a passion for directing fashion commercials
